Lunch with Maya, "Animal Farm" operational

Today I had lunch with Maya. As she is an Alpha the food was first class. It's been a while since I tasted such a good Chablis. Apparently "Animal Farm" is already operational. The nickname comes from the book of the same name. There is to be a new category on the ID Register for the Deltas. Deltas will be clones with a few cosmetic differences to make each one look individual. The technology of genetics now allows human embryos to be placed in pigs (hence the nickname Animal Farm) and the cloned children will be bred as menials, content with their lot. Things are moving much faster than we thought. New regulations mean that freedom of movement will be restricted to the Sector of residence and each adjacent Sector. So it will only be possible to work or study within that radius. Alphas will still have complete freedom of movement, within the limits of their energy allowance, so Maya can still get about. Luckily my mother lives in Sector 1985, so we can still keep in touch with each other. They must have completed the checkpoints and barriers between the Sectors on schedule.
